What IT qualifications are eligible for points in the Highly-Skilled Professional (i)(b) category?

Points can be scored for academic background, annual salary, professional career history, age and so on, however, for IT engineers and IT-related workers it is important to get points through qualifications.

How many points can I get?
If you have passed an examination or have a license listed in the relevant IT notification, you may be eligible for 5 points, or up to 10 points for multiple qualifications.
What IT qualifications are eligible for points?
The following examinations listed in the IT notification qualify for points if they are held in Japan or 11 other Asian countries (China, Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Singapore, and South Korea).

Qualifications must be relevant to your current job in order to be eligible for points as a Highly-Skilled Professional.
Please note that points will not be added for qualifications that are not related to your current job.
How to prove my qualifications?
You will need to submit a certificate of having passed an exam or an official letter verifying your qualifications.
How to apply for Permanent Residency through the points system for Highly-Skilled Professionals?
You can apply for permanent residency if you have scored 70 points or more three years ago and currently have 70 points or more, or if you have scored 80 points or more one year ago and currently have 80 points or more.
In other words, if you have 70 points or more, you can apply for permanent residency in 3 years, and if you have 80 points or more, you can apply for permanent residency in 1 year.
